Funkatello Booking Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation with Funkatello, you acknowledge and agree to the following Booking Terms & Conditions.

1. Reservations

Reservations are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed by Funkatello.

Please ensure that the contact details provided with your reservation are accurate so that we can contact you regarding your booking if required.

2. Arrival & Table Times

Please arrive at your confirmed reservation time. We understand that delays can occur; however, tables may be released if guests arrive more than 15 minutes late without contacting us.

Our standard dining times are:

2–3 guests: approximately 90 minutes
4 or more guests: approximately 120 minutes

Where another reservation follows your table, we may need to adhere to the allocated dining time.

3. Dining Style

Funkatello is an à la carte, homestyle Italian restaurant. Our dishes are prepared individually and our service is intentionally relaxed.

We cannot guarantee that all main courses will arrive at exactly the same time. By dining with us, guests acknowledge and accept our style of service.

4. Minimum Spend

A minimum average spend of $40 per person applies on Friday and Saturday evenings unless otherwise stated for a particular package, event or reservation.

Any applicable minimum spend will be communicated as part of the booking conditions.

5. BYO

BYO is available for wine only

BYO is limited to reservations of four guests or fewer, with a maximum of two bottles per reservation.

Corkage is $6 per person for the first bottle and $35 for the second bottle.

BYO wont be available for packages, special events or other bookings where specifically excluded.

Bottles bought without adhering to the policy will be confiscated and held aside and returned upon leaving the premises

If you have made a booking online it has stated you must make sure all guests joining you are aware of the policy.

6. Card Guarantee, Cancellations & No-Shows

Certain reservations require valid card details to secure the booking.

Different cancellation periods and fees may apply to packages, special events, functions or promotional offers. Where different conditions apply, they will be displayed before the reservation is confirmed.

Providing card details does not constitute payment for your meal unless expressly stated.

7. Packages & Special Offers

Packages, promotions and special offers may have their own inclusions, cancellation periods, no-show fees, minimum spends, seating times and other conditions.

Where package-specific conditions differ from these general Booking Terms & Conditions, the conditions presented for that package will apply to that reservation.

8. Responsible Service of Alcohol

Funkatello complies with its obligations concerning the responsible service of alcohol.

The purchase of a package, promotion or prepaid offering involving alcoholic beverages does not guarantee the continued service of alcohol. Non-alcoholic options are available.

Alcohol service may be refused or discontinued where required by law or responsible service practices.

9. Guest Conduct

We want Funkatello to remain a safe and respectful environment for our guests and team.

Threatening, abusive, intimidating, discriminatory, harassing, aggressive or otherwise seriously inappropriate behaviour towards staff, other guests or persons associated with the venue will not be accepted.

Guests must comply with reasonable and lawful directions given by management or staff relating to safety, responsible service of alcohol and the operation of the venue.

Management may refuse service or require a guest to leave where reasonably considered necessary, subject to applicable law.

10. Damage to Property

Guests may be held responsible for deliberate or negligent damage they cause to Funkatello property, fixtures or equipment, subject to applicable law.

Serious incidents may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

11. Future Booking Restrictions

Funkatello reserves the right to decline, cancel or restrict future reservations where management reasonably determines that a guest has:

  • seriously or repeatedly breached these Booking Terms & Conditions;

  • engaged in threatening, abusive, harassing or seriously inappropriate conduct;

  • caused deliberate or negligent damage to the venue;

  • repeatedly failed to honour confirmed reservations;

  • provided fraudulent or deliberately misleading booking information;

  • refused to comply with reasonable and lawful venue directions; or

  • otherwise engaged in conduct that reasonably affects the safety, wellbeing or proper operation of the venue.

Booking restrictions may apply to reservations identified through details associated with the guest or previous reservation, including name, telephone number and email address.

Where an existing future reservation is cancelled because of a booking restriction, Funkatello will endeavour to notify the guest using the contact details provided with the reservation.

If you believe you have been subject to a booking restriction and would like further information regarding the reason, please contact us.

Requests will be reviewed by management and responded to where appropriate.

12. Refusal or Cancellation of Reservations

Funkatello may refuse or cancel a reservation where reasonably necessary because of circumstances including operational issues, safety concerns, incorrect or fraudulent booking information, a serious breach of these terms, or a booking restriction imposed under these terms without prior notice.

Where Funkatello cancels a prepaid reservation for reasons unrelated to a breach by the guest, any entitlement to a refund will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law.

13. Changes Beyond Our Control

Occasionally circumstances outside our reasonable control may require us to alter or cancel a reservation, change table allocation or modify service arrangements.

Where practicable, we will contact affected guests as soon as reasonably possible.

14. Privacy & Booking Information

Information supplied when making a reservation may be used to administer the reservation, communicate with you about your booking, maintain appropriate booking and venue records, manage cancellation or no-show requirements, and administer booking restrictions where reasonably necessary.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and Funkatello's Privacy Policy.

15. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

16. Changes to These Terms

Funkatello may update these Booking Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The terms applicable to a reservation will generally be those presented or made available when the reservation is made, except where a subsequent change is required by law.
